 these beauties are based on jim lahey's "no-knead" bread recipes that caused such a stir a few years back when they were published in bittman's nyt column. i made tons of bread way back when but i got a wild hair & started messing around w/whole wheat & various other more healthy variations. these seeded beauties(sesame & sunflower)have been the best so far.
