i like this canadian alt music group. on their record, this song was actually recorded in an abandoned church or wheat silo or something that gave it an otherworldly acoustic sound. when i first heard them, they reminded me of neil young w/o his rage(the rock side of young)or his can't miss ear for melody(his folky side). they were neil as a young depressed man: portrait of the artist as a young downer. i like their sound & their sense of melody is solid enough & his voice probably has more range than young's.
